The public helps to the motorcar might prevent the restructuring in the sector

The OCDE (Organization for the Cooperation and the Economic Development) thinks that the public helps that the sector of the motorcar has received, both in the industrial ambience and in the TV/radio commercial, can turn into a ballast so that this industry attacks the restructuring that he needs facing the future.

This way, the OCDE dedicates an entire chapter to the situation of the motor-car industry in his last report on economic perspectives. He admits that the motoring is between the sectors “more struck” for the recession. Nevertheless, it specifies that the fall of the sales of cars has not been deeper than the observed in the past.

The organization admits that the help plans to the buy of motorcars implemented by different countries, between them Spain, have propitiated an increase of the short-term demand, but he warns that measurements of this type will prevent most likely the structural changes that the industry needs in the next years.

In this sense, he suggests once the incentives programs to expire, the sales of motorcars will fall down again, every time, on having talked each other of initiatives limited in the time, the effect that they produce is an advance in the buys. Also, the OCDE questions the efficacy of these plans to reduce the greenhouse effect emission.

On the other hand, the OCDE predicts that the Spanish car market can register in short or half term “a cyclical rebound”, since in Spain - and in other countries as the United Kingdom, the United States or Japan - the sales of cars have fallen down much underneath of what it would be a normal level.

This situation points to that and xisten possibilities that, as a result of the historical fall of the registrations, the sale of cars in Spain should register a “cyclical rebound” in short or half term, although at the same time the report points out that the mature markets as Europe or North America will tend to the "stagnation".

As for the situation of the Spanish industry of manufacture of motorcars, the report augurs a maintenance of the productive capacity in the next five years. This way, he thinks that the factories will be provided with an aptitude to make 2,42 million units in 2015, codes lightly lower than 2,43 million units foreseen for this year.
