Who sold more discs in the USA during 2009?

As in other opportunities, this finance blog will refer to another important topic linked to the world of the spectacle. In this occasion, one will refer to an interesting list realized by the well-known and prestigious company The Nielsen Company. According to the above mentioned classification, the deceased “king of pop”, Michael Jackson, was the artist who sold more discs during the year 2009 in territory of the United States. Between other things, it indicates that the second and third place of the list there are occupied by the singing North American country music Taylor Swift and the mythical English band The Beatles.

In a world in which pirates abound the illegal discharges of music for Internet or the sale of discs and DVD, there are still several million persons who prefer to keep on saving little money to buy the original álbumes of his bands and/or favorite singers.

On this topic, it is important to emphasize that the international artist who sold more discs in North America during last year was the singing American Michael Jackson proclaimed “king of pop” by the fanatics and the specializing press, who died last June 25, 2009 to 50 years of age.
