Yoigo, which is already the fourth operator of mobile telephony in Spain foresees that during 201 a price war takes place in the sector of the operators of telephony. This way, the manager of the company, Johan Andsjö, affirms that margin still exists so that the companies lower more his tariffs and that the operators support high prices that, due to the crisis, will not be able to be supported.
This way, manager has predicted for 2010 the consolidation and, even, an increase of the current tendency in the descent of the prices of the telephone operators. “2010 will be a year of price war”, he confirmed.
For Johan Andsjö, the current situation of economic crisis is not ideal for the appearance of new competitors on the market of the operators. Also, he thinks that many of the virtual mobile operators (OMV), that is to say, companies without proper network that rent the networks of the principal agents of the market, will disappear as a result of the adverse economic conjuncture.
As for the piracy, Andsjö has thought about the polemic decision the French Government to apply courts in the Network to finish with the illegal discharges in Internet. According to the executive of the measured above mentioned Yoigo, who might come very quickly to the United Kingdom and Spain, it is not the best way of fighting the piracy: "This measurement is not effective. The operators we cannot determine what is legal and what not; this is not our task”. According to the opinion of Johan Andsjö, to cut the access to the network supposes to assume more proper functions of the police.
This way, these declarations coincide with the approval that it has carried out today the European Union according to that the administrative authorities of the Member states will be able to cut the access to Internet without previous judicial order. The above mentioned cut will be able to be applied to those users who unload contents protected by copyright, as they have already requested France, the United Kingdom or Spain.
